Gail Pokorney earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and in June 2013 completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. As a primary care resident, she treated a panel of patients at the University’s general medicine clinic for three years. Her clinical interests include women’s health and public health.

Outside of the office, Dr. Pokorney enjoys hiking, traveling, playing the violin, and reading literature (like Dr. Bramante, she was a college English major), and she plans to pursue these interests in Alaska, as well as to explore some new ones. Having grown up in the Northeast, she is eager to reconnect with the snow after missing out on several winters while in San Francisco. She first heard about Central Peninsula Internal Medicine as a medical student and never forgot it, hoping that one day she would be able to join the practice.
